The San Diego Tourism Authority’s communications team is currently made up communication and public relations experts, whom share a passion for travel as well as promoting our beautiful destination.
What do they do?
Our communications team is tasked with publicizing San Diego as a premier travel destination. They promote San Diego as both a leisure and business travel destination to potential visitors around the globe. They do this by telling San Diego’s story through domestic and international media, travel journalists and other outlets, as well as by hosting media members and attending tourism conferences and events.
How can they help?
The SDTA communications team tells the San Diego story – and our restaurants, hotels and attractions are a crucial part of that story. The more our communications team knows about our members’ latest news, the more they can share and pitch it to national and international media. We encourage members to share press releases, updates and openings with our communications experts. As they return to their international PR efforts, the more information and updates they can share with their contacts in Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Germany and Australia, the better.
The communications team also reaches out to SDTA members when hosting media and influencers, in order to allow them to experience all that San Diego and our members have to offer.
