FY 2011 was a tremendous year for the ConVis Marketing division. Overall, the Total Marketing Leverage hit $17.64 million (114% to annual goal) and the Out-of-Market Inquiries grew to 6.05 million (129% to goal). Please join me in congratulating the entire team for not only meeting – but exceeding – the key division goals:
- Travel trade development attended 28 shows and hosted 45 client FAMs
- Public relations generated $13.2 million in unpaid editorial – 110% to their annual goal
- Advertising generated $1.55 million in co-op funding – 129% to goal
- Promotions generated $2.86 million in unpaid media exposure – 129% to goal
- Web traffic hit 5.3 million visitor sessions – 113% to goal
- Interactive delivered 1.9 million emails
- Social media grew to 187,045 Facebook fans (adding 142K in this year alone), plus 10,859 Twitter followers (adding 4,700 in this year alone)
- Blog page views grew to 192,664
The Membership division also announced some exciting news. For ad sales, Membership was 102% of goal; 108 new members were added in FY 11; and our Visitor Services team processed 217,878 visitor inquiries compared to 196,085 in 2010. We are truly fortunate to have such a great group of dedicated individuals and volunteers.
