SDTA Statement on Chargers Departure for Los Angeles

January 12, 2017 By Nick Leave a Comment

The San Diego Tourism Authority is disappointed the Chargers have announced plans to leave San Diego. They have been an important part of the San Diego community for many years, and we will be sad to see them go. However, San Diego is a vibrant destination that offers countless reasons for travelers to visit. In the coming year, San Diego will host several top tier sporting events, including the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer, the World Baseball Classic and more. Those events along with our burgeoning culinary and craft beer scene, colorful neighborhoods, and arts and culture will continue to draw visitors from around the world.
