Our collaboration with the San Diego Sports Commission has brought additional room nights and new sports opportunities to the region. Year to date, the team has booked 72,819 definite sports-related room nights. In addition, they have six contracts in the pipeline that will bring new sports events to the community with a variety of softball, national soccer, basketball and lacrosse tournaments. Secured events for fiscal year 2012 include USTSA Baseball, UCI Supercross World Cup Final, Carrier Classic, US Sports Congress, ABA BMX US Open, NCAA Women’s Water Polo Championship and United States Police and Fire Championships to name a few.
