- In the last week of February, room night demand dipped from the week prior to total 194,976 room nights sold.
- Weekend demand far exceeded weekday demand, with Friday and Saturday nights selling 33,000 and 38,000 room nights, respectively – roughly 9,000 to 15,000 more room nights than each weekday night.
- Demand is estimated to end the month at 750,000 room nights, which is closer to November performance of 792,000 room nights sold, and about 75,000 more than January sold.
- County occupancy averaged 44.6% ranking San Diego 10th among top markets and 3rd in the western competitive set, behind Phoenix 59.3% and Los Angeles 51.5%.
- South/East County properties averaged 65.7%, followed by Northeast/Escondido at 59.0% and Mission Valley at 48.8%.
- County ADR was $107 ranking San Diego 8th among top markets and 4th in the western comp set, behind Phoenix $122, Los Angeles $119, and San Francisco $110.
- La Jolla coastal properties had the highest ADR at $177, followed by Mission Bay at $155 and Downtown at $125.
- County RevPAR was $48 ranking San Diego 7th among top markets and 3rd in the western comp set, behind Phoenix $72 and Los Angeles $61.
