During the 40th week of 2019, San Diego hotels experienced a considerable contraction in average occupancy rates compared to the same week last year. Occupancy rates ranged from 66.3% in the I-15 Corridor to 79.4% in Mission Bay, with all regions but one reducing average occupancy compared to last year. The only region to improve in occupancy over last year was Del Mar/Oceanside, which grew by 2.9%. Average daily rates ranged from $106.37 in Escondido to $249.67 in La Jolla. Two regions gained in ADR compared to last year – properties in Mission Bay grew ADR by 1.4%, while properties in Del Mar/Oceanside grew by 1.3% over last year.
