On the heels of the October Kids Free San Diego promotion, a new online advertising campaign launches November 1 and runs until the end of February. San Diego will be the featured destination with the following online travel publishing partners: Expedia, Orbitz Worldwide, Priceline and Trip Advisor.
Due to the lack of marketing funds for 2013 and the subsequent loss in market share, San Diego is deploying an aggressive campaign including high-profile placements, competitive destination targeting, geo-targeted source market placements and affinity targeting. A new Trip Advisor program has been developed to capitalize off their new meta-search capacity and the ability to serve San Diego content based on where the traveler is at in the traveler purchase lifecycle.
