Today, October 10, 2013, the California Coastal Commission met to hear final public comment and vote on the expansion plan of the San Diego Convention Center. Happily, we can report that the Commission voted to APPROVE the expansion. This was the final permitting hurdle necessary to cross in order to put a shovel in the ground. This is wonderful news for the entire tourism industry as well as our customers, who have been waiting for this to happen before committing their future business to San Diego. With this project now approved to get underway, we will grow our tourism economy, and positively impact jobs, businesses, and taxes for our region. For a full expansion overview, click here.
