Alaska Airlines announced on May 18th the addition of a new three-times daily service between San Diego and Sacramento. The 76-seat E175 jets will be operated by SkyWest Airlines. Seating configuration includes 12 first class, 12 premium class, and 52 main cabin seats.
The nonstop service will connect international fliers from London, Beijing and Tokyo on Alaska’s partners British Airways, Hainan Airlines and Japan Airlines.
“These new routes will bring more options and low fares to our California customers, as well as creating new connections to key international business markets served by our partner carriers.” said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer.
Currently, Southwest Airlines is the only airline that flies this route non-stop.
