We are thrilled to introduce The Studio Door, a member of the 2024 Tourism Accelerator Cohort.
Designed to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the local tourism industry, the San Diego Tourism Authority’s Tourism Accelerator program provides free SDTA membership, mentoring, education and networking opportunities to businesses owned by people of color, women, veterans and those who identify as LGBTQIA+.
What is The Studio Door?
Located in the vibrant heart of Hillcrest, San Diego, The Studio Door stands as a beacon of contemporary artistic expression. Since its inception in 2014 by visionary artist Patric Stillman, it has been a sanctuary for both emerging and established talents, particularly within the LGBTQ community. The Studio Door is more than just a gallery; it’s a dynamic space where art intersects with culture, community and creativity. From its buzzing gallery exhibitions to its iconic Mural Alley, this cutting-edge establishment offers a unique blend of artistic experiences that resonate with locals and tourists alike.

The Studio Door offers a myriad of services designed to inspire and engage. The gallery exhibitions set trends and push boundaries, showcasing works that challenge and provoke thought. Additionally, The Studio Doors provide inspiring artist studios, serving as incubators for creativity and innovation. The organization is committed to fostering a sense of community through engaging events such as exclusive art receptions, workshops and the electrifying First Thursday Art Walk in Mural Alley. Through these offerings, The Studio Door aims not only to showcase art but also to cultivate meaningful connections among artists, patrons and enthusiasts.
