With Eric’s support and dedication, he successfully guided his team out of the Covid pandemic and earned its highest financial and guest satisfaction scores in the hotel’s history. In addition to this success, Eric was also named “GM’s To Watch” in 2022 by Hotel Management. Prior to joining Estancia, Eric’s career highlights include his tenure as the Hotel Manager at Loews Hotels & Co. in San Diego, where he managed day to day resort operations resulting in over $60M in revenue. He worked in a mixed Union environment of 500+ team members and achieved the highest goals in EBITDA, revenues, guest satisfaction, online reputation, and team member satisfaction. He was also awarded the San Diego Union Tribune’s “Top Workplace” twice during his time at the Loews Hotels & Co. and again in 2022 at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. In addition, Eric helped raise over $75,000 for DonorsChoose.org through hotel charity events and has received the company’s “Good Neighbor” Award for his community involvement. Eric’s expertise in food and beverage concepts creation and management has been a driving force in his career. Prior to taking on the Role as Hotel Manager at Loews Hotel & Co. Eric was the Director of Food & Beverage, where he oversaw the outlet and banquet operations that produced $25M in annual revenue. He achieved the highest annual F&B revenues and profits in resort history and managed the re-conceptualizing of three food and beverage outlets, including branding, CGS, menus, uniforms, and construction. Eric’s leadership also led his team to create Entwined sensory dinners and Bay Sessions concert series, enhancing the guest experience and contributing to the overall success of the resort. Eric has been married to his wife Janelle for 22 years and has four sons Ethan (18), Asher (16), Eli (15), Jonah (11) and two doodles, Milo and Maisie.
