Annie Fitzgerald

Annie Fitzgerald is career hospitality professional who delights in providing exceptional experiences to both employees and guests. Annie has been part of the San Diego hospitality community since March 2020 when she became the General Manager of The Westgate Hotel and AquaVie Fitness and Wellness. Annie brings two decades of industry knowledge with her previous experience including Director of Guest Experience at The Grand America Hotel and the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her experience has honed her expertise focusing on the minute details to ensure the grandest and most luxurious standard or service; whether she was hosting the Dalai Lama, NBA Teams or all types of leisure and business travelers. Her genuine personalized care for her guests creates remarkable experiences.

Annie earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Utah State University. She also completed the National Student Exchange program at the University of Hawaii Manoa. While she attended school, she became fascinated by the hospitality industry. Her areas of focus have been supporting high performing operations including Food and Beverage, Spa, Housekeeping, Engineering, Catering and Conventions and Sales. She has also focused on implementing technology across the Grand America Hotels and Resorts brand to improve the employee experience and elevate the guest experience. She enjoys managing the day to day operation and strategizing with Finance, Real Estate, Marketing and Human Resources. During her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, golfing, and planning activities with her daughters, husband and mini schnauzers.
