Dine Outdoors at North County restaurants

August 31, 2020 By Hallie Jacobs Leave a Comment

From historic local wineries to new and exciting breweries to happening hubs, North County is filled with dining options that please the palate while serving up safe, socially distant outdoor ambiance.

The Crossings at Carlsbad
With three separate outdoor seating areas, eclectic restaurant offerings and a pristine golf course, The Crossings at Carlsbad is the ideal destination for your next outing outside. Stop by for a plated brunch and sip on bottomless mimosas or relish a mouthwatering Bloody Mary. The diverse outdoor areas come with fire pits, big-screen televisions and surround sound systems and, most importantly, views of the ocean and the golf course.

Bernardo Winery
Elevate your next date night with a trip to Bernardo Winery, where you can experience safe social distance dining on the iconic winery’s outdoor patio. Snack on an antipasto board filled with chef-selected artisan meats, cheeses and seasonal vegetables while quaffing on fine wine. Bernardo Winery is also offering several take-home wine specials including growler fills, bottle specials and more. Bernardo Winery is accepting reservations Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 7:30 p.m. with the grounds open until 9 p.m.

Thai One On Thai Cuisine and Sushi
Thai One On Thai Cuisine and Sushi satisfies your cravings for two of your favorite cuisines. Snack on a classic California Roll or savor a bowl of spicy curry at this Carlsbad restaurant. There’s a large outdoor patio for diners to safely enjoy a meal and for folks who would prefer to eat at home, there are also to-go meals.

Abnormal Beer Co.
Head to the epicenter of the masterminds behind one of San Diego’s most beloved breweries—Abnormal Beer Co.—for patio and outdoor dining and, of course, dozens of delicious beers on tap. The space has transformed to accommodate for safe outdoor hangouts with live music to enjoy with beers and food. You can sip on a pint of your favorite Abnormal brew or try one of many other guest beers from around the world. Those who are looking to stay at home can also grab food and beer to go on the Abnormal website.

Wilson Creek Winery
Treat yourself to a Temecula day trip to experience the magic of San Diego’s close-by wine Mecca. Wilson Creek Winery is open for outdoor dining and outdoor wine tasting. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the patio with a beautiful view of the winery’s sprawling vineyard. Weekend visitors can stop by for a Sunday brunch-themed menu with favorites such as avocado toast, omelets and other classics. Wilson Creek Winery also houses a courtyard bar and grill separate from the restaurant where foodies and oenophiles can savor sandwiches, pizza, salads, wine and slushies. Both the stunning courtyard with social distanced tables and the lower garden area provide plenty of places to take a break and enjoy your bites.
