Angie Ranalli, Vice President of Sales of the Midwest Region for the San Diego Tourism Authority, was selected to serve as the Chair-Elect for the 2020-2021 term on the Professional Convention Management Association Foundation Board of Trustees.

With more than 7,000 members and a global audience of more than 50,000, PCMA’s wealth of industry professionals that make up its network, PCMA is a force in the hospitality and tourism industries, focusing on research and innovation in business events.
Ranalli, who has been selling the San Diego destination for more than 25 years, was selected for her professional tenure and sales and events knowledge.
“Angie has a tremendous work ethic and energy and has been instrumental in increasing sales for San Diego and bringing conventions and events to the San Diego Convention Center,” said Rick Outcalt, Senior Vice President of Citywide Sales for the San Diego Tourism Authority. “Her experience with events make her the perfect choice to lead with fellow industry experts as part of the PCMA Foundation.”
In her role, Ranalli will be responsible for helping guide the Foundation’s strategic initiatives, including education, research and charitable giving. The Foundation funds scholarships for students, faculty and other professionals and recognizes industry accomplishments at the annual Visionary Awards.
