In the 37th week of 2019, San Diego hotels saw average occupancy rates range between 70.7% in Del Mar/Oceanside to 86.4% in the UTC area. Most regions experienced growth in occupancy for the week compared to the same week last year, with properties in the Pt. Loma/Airport region rising the most with 5.7% growth, followed by properties in both Downtown and the UTC regions each growing by 4.8% over last year. Average daily rates ranged from $112.86 in Escondido to $263.97 in La Jolla. All but one region grew in ADR over last year, with properties Downtown increasing the most by 11.7%, followed by Pt. Loma/Airport properties growing by 5.2% over last year.
