In the 34th week of 2019, hotels in San Diego saw occupancy rates ranging from 75.9% in Escondido to 88.6% in the UTC area. Average occupancy increased in a few regions compared to the same week in 2018; Escondido grew the most with 8.4% improvement over last year, followed by UTC properties with 3.5% growth. Average daily rates ranged from $121.28 in Escondido to $285.63 in La Jolla. Most regions grew in ADR over 2018, with properties in Mission Bay leading with 3.9% growth over last year, followed by Pt. Loma/Airport and La Jolla, each with 2.8% improvement in rates.
