During the twentieth week of 2019, rainy weather continued to suppress occupancy rates compared to this time last year, but average daily rates across the county rose ever higher over 2018. Occupancy rates ranged from 69.6 percent in Del Mar/Oceanside to 81.7 percent among UTC properties. All regions declined in occupancy compared to last year, except for La Jolla Coastal, which grew by 0.1 percent. Average daily rates ranged from $117.46 in Escondido to $234.74 in La Jolla, with all regions experiencing growth over last year. Mission Bay properties grew the most at 8.9 percent, followed by properties in the I-15 Corridor at 6.2 percent.
