AB10 Passes – California’s minimum wage will rise to $9.00 per hour in 2014

The California State Legislature just passed AB10, the bill that will raise the minimum wage in California to $9.00 per hour beginning  July 1, 2014, and then to $10.00 per hour beginning January 1,
2016.  For more on the impacts of the minimum wage increases, members can reach out to their respective associations.

1182.12.  Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, on and after July 1, 2014, the minimum wage for all industries shall be not less than nine dollars ($9) per hour, and on and after January 1, 2016, the minimum wage for all industries shall be not less than ten dollars ($10) per hour.
