For many years, San Diego has retained the services of Ko Marketing (based in San Diego) for representation in Japan. As the international travel markets keep gaining more importance, we now find it advantageous to also have in-market offices in Tokyo and Seoul to supplement the marketing efforts done from San Diego.
We have reached an agreement with AVIAREPS Marketing Garden to represent us in both the Japanese and Korean markets. San Diego will now have a representative physically based in Tokyo and Seoul working the travel trade accounts and also a representative actively soliciting PR opportunities in both markets. AVIAREPS Marketing Garden also represents Visit California and BRAND USA in Japan and Korea, so we are looking forward to creating more synergy as we take this major step to build more San Diego awareness.
In addition to these two new offices in Asia, we also have San Diego representation offices in London, Frankfurt and Mexico.
