This past week the San Diego Convention Center Corporation Board of Directors voted unanimously to transfer the responsibility for Sales & Marketing from the Convention Center, back to ConVis. This move was also supported by a 6 to 1 vote by the City Council.
We will be working with the Convention Center leadership to author a 30-60-90 day transition plan, and expect the transfer to take place on July 1, 2012, marking the start of the new fiscal year.
There is much to be done, but we are committed to minimizing the impact to our existing teams, our partners and most importantly, our customers. We will keep you updated on our plans and progress.
