San Diego hotels saw a reduction in occupancy and daily rates in the 47th week of 2018 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Occupancy rates in the county ranged from 61% downtown to 74% in Mission Bay. Compared to the same period last year, a few regions had negative growth, but most had modest growth with the Point Loma/Airport region achieving almost 10% growth over 2017. Average daily rates ranged from $101 in Mission Valley to $248 in La Jolla with all regions achieving growth over the same period last year. Again, the Point Loma/Airport region had the largest amount of growth at almost 10%, with La Jolla following close behind at almost 9% growth over 2017.
