In the 38th week of 2018, San Diego hotels saw occupancy rates ranging from 67% to 89% with those in the UTC area recording the highest at 89.1%. Year over year, all regions had negative occupancy growth except for three areas: Mission Bay (2.7% growth), Mission Valley (5%), and UTC (0.6%). Average Daily Rates across the county ranged from $110 in Escondido up to $245 in La Jolla. The highest ADR growth was seen downtown at 14% over last year. The highest revenue per available room was in La Jolla at $203, but it was hotels in Mission Valley and downtown with the highest percentage of growth, at 12% and 14% growth, respectively.
